RSSB & TSAG Consultation Document

RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board Ltd) and the TSAG (Technical Strategy Advisory Group) had collectively gathered all information for the Consultation document and needed to present this to its members and all concerned in the industry. The literature we produced for this allows the corporate look and feel but also lures people in with its differing design and key message of direction to support business objectives.

“It looks absolutely superb – really professional – many thanks indeed to all of you for all your hard work on this one. The document had high impact attracting a wide range of input from the industry.”

Feedback from the RSSB Industry Communications Manager, supporting what was achieved from the produced Consultation Document.

Duffy’s Latest Chocolate Addition

We have been printing wrappers aplenty in recent months for Duffy’s increasingly popular chocolate bars. The gourmet chocolate maker is eagerly extending the range further with new additions to their Fair Trade options including, Star of The Dominican Republic and Star of Panama bars, all designed and printed by Urban Juice. The latest member of the expanding range, Duffy’s Honduras Indio Rojo, is made from Xoco Criollo Beans of the Honduras. The wrapper which gives full coverage of the bar, was designed to echo the beans’ origins and add interest with it’s glowing colour.

Urban Juice & Young’s Pedalling for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity Cycle Ride!

The UJ Creative Director is leaving the comforts of the studio today and starting out on the 2010 Grimsby to Liverpool Charity Cycle Ride, raising money and awareness for the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital!

We were first made aware of the charity bike ride many months ago when asked to create the branding and promotional materials for the well worth while event organised by Young’s Seafood and Findus. Once the details became available of what was happening, our very own UJ team member Andy Caldwell, put himself forward for the 149 mile challenge and has raised sponsorship money for the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal.

Good luck to the 40+ cyclists setting off this morning and travelling coast to coast over the next two days!

Apple iPhone IOS Icons Using Pure CSS3

The power of CSS3 is becoming more and more amazing! We recently came across this stunning attempt at creating the Apple iPhone IOS icons using pure CSS3, and the results are just phenomenal.

With over 1000 lines of code in total for all of the icons, it may not exactly be practical, but it’s a fantastic example to illustrate the potential that future web technologies have to offer.

The icons available are the YouTube, Notes, Maps, iDisk, iTunes, Contacts, Calendar, Voice Memo’s, SMS, Calculator and Weather icons. 781 lines of code was used just for the Voice Memo’s icon.

CSS3 Animated Spider-Man Cartoon

We came across this ambitious attempt to show what is possible without the use of Flash.

It’s a great animation of the classic 1967 Spider-Man cartoon title sequence, using only HTML5, CSS3 and WebKit animation. JavaScript is only used to change scenes and a HTML5 audio tag is used for the theme tune.

Whether or not you are a fan of CSS3, you have to admit that this is an impressive feat!
